Individual Well Program
The Individual Well Program is funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on a national scale to develop and utilize a new assessment tool and host educational workshops on how to identify potential well issues, including contamination threats. Using this tool, Communities Unlimited provides one-on-one assistance, helping well owners identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Well Owners of AR, LA, TN, MS
Well assessments conducted by CU field staff can help identify potential threats to your drinking water. These assessments involve a visual in-person inspection of your well, review of well construction compared to state standards, and an evaluation of the water source when possible to identify potential vulnerabilities. Additional information will be made available to the homeowner to ensure water safety, best practices, and proper maintenance as appropriate.
The Individual Well Program is carried out as part of the EPA/RCAP “Improving Water Quality through Training and Technical Assistance to Private Well Owners” Project.
